TeCluster Get the app

Privacy Policy

Effective from the app's first release

We do not create an account. Location is processed on your device and is not stored on our server. Vehicle telemetry is received only with the Connected plan, and the latest values are deleted automatically 24 hours after the car's last signal. The app shows no ads. We use one ad-measurement tool (the Meta SDK) to see whether our Instagram ads work; the advertising identifier is shared only if you allow tracking (section 12).

The Korean version of this policy is the authoritative text. In case of any discrepancy, the Korean version prevails.

1. General

  1. CGFlow ("the Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and related laws, and processes personal data as set out in this policy.
  2. This policy applies only to the mobile app TeCluster and is separate from the privacy policy of the cgflow.kr platform.
  3. The Company collects only what the service needs and deletes it automatically once the stated period passes.

2. What we collect

  1. Location: used for guidance and speed-camera warnings, and to estimate speed when the device is not connected to the car over Bluetooth. It is processed on the device and is not stored on the Company's server; during built-in guidance, your current position is sent to the server only to look up nearby speed cameras and traffic lights. When you start guidance it is passed to the map service you selected.
  2. Vehicle data (Connected plan only — telemetry the car sends to the Company's server): VIN, battery-health readings (pack voltage and current, lowest and highest cell voltage and module temperature, insulation resistance, lifetime energy use, full-pack capacity), odometer, gear, climate and air-conditioning status and set temperature, door status, turn signals.
  3. Software version statistics (optional — on by default, can be turned off in Settings): vehicle software version, model, App Store country. The VIN is processed only as an irreversible hash; other users see only the number of cars per version.
  4. Destination (Connected plan only): the name and coordinates of the destination set in the car's navigation, and the route it has planned. A destination you send from the device while the car is asleep is held until the car wakes.
  5. Trip history (no sign-in — kept under a random number created on your device): time, distance, odometer at start and end, average and top speed, harsh acceleration and braking counts, battery used, destination name.
  6. Tesla access token: held on the Company's backend as the credential for reading vehicle data. It is not stored in the app.

3. What we do not collect

  1. We do not create an account. We never ask for your name or password, and ask for an email address only when you contact us from the app, so that we can reply.
  2. We do not store a record of the coordinates you drove through. The trip history keeps only the destination name, not the path you took.
  3. We do not access contacts, photos, the microphone or call history.
  4. The app contains no ads. The only ad-related tool is the Meta SDK for ad measurement (section 12); the advertising identifier (IDFA) is passed to Meta only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt.
  5. We do not sell personal data or provide it for advertising purposes.
  6. The number of destination hand-offs used on the Free plan is counted only on your device.

4. Why we use it

  1. Cluster display — speed, drive power, battery, range, temperature, odometer, gear.
  2. Guidance — route calculation, turn instructions, estimated arrival time, speed-camera warnings.
  3. Continuing guidance that was started in the car, and, on the Connected plan, sending destinations chosen on the device to the car.
  4. Providing trip history and checking the subscription plan.
  5. Connected-plan features — Car Checkup, after-blow and the turn-signal display.

5. How long we keep it

  1. Vehicle data: the latest values are deleted from the server automatically 24 hours after the vehicle's last signal.
  2. Destination: deleted from the server automatically one hour after guidance ends.
  3. Trip history and Tesla token: kept until you delete your data or disconnect the vehicle.
  4. For Car Checkup (Connected plan), daily battery and distance figures are kept for 90 days, and battery-capacity readings are kept under an irreversible hash instead of the VIN, together with the car's model details, model year and country of production but not its serial number, so that the battery can be compared with its own past values. Other vehicle data and destinations exist only to show the current state, so there is no reason to keep them; the server deletes them on the schedule above.

6. Sharing and processors

  1. The Company does not sell personal data and does not disclose it externally except as follows, in order to provide the service.
  2. Kakao Mobility: destination name and coordinates — passed to the Kakao Navi app when you choose it for guidance.
  3. Other navigation apps you choose (such as Google Maps, Waze, Naver Map, TMAP or Yahoo! Car Navi): destination name and coordinates — passed to that app when you hand guidance off to it.
  4. Kakao: your search text and current location — used for place search in Korea (or, if your location is unknown, when the app language is Korean).
  5. Apple: location, destination and search text — map display, route calculation and place search when Apple Maps is used.
  6. HERE: current position, direction of travel and destination — rerouting after you leave the route and road speed limits during built-in guidance.
  7. Tesla, Inc.: Tesla account authentication, and destinations and after-blow climate commands sent through the Tesla Fleet API (Connected plan) — to read data from, and send commands to, the vehicle you connected.
  8. Oracle Cloud: server operation and data storage.
  9. Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA): app launch, trial start and subscription events — Instagram ad measurement (section 12).
  10. Location is passed to a map service only when you start guidance or search for a place, and each provider's own policy applies as well.

7. Transfer abroad

  1. The Company's server is located in Singapore (Oracle Cloud), where the vehicle data and destination described in section 2 are stored. The purpose is to provide the service and the retention periods are those in section 5.
  2. You may use the app without the Connected plan; in that case the vehicle data and destination described in section 2 are not transmitted.

8. Your rights

  1. Delete your data: in the app, Settings → This device → Delete my data. The car registration and the vehicle data held on the server are deleted together, and this cannot be undone.
  2. Disconnect the vehicle: Settings → Sign out of Tesla account. No further vehicle data is received.
  3. Withdraw location permission: at any time in iOS Settings. Speed display and guidance will then not work.
  4. Access and correction: write to contact@tecluster.org and we will handle the request after verification.

9. Security

  1. All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted with HTTPS.
  2. Data sent from the vehicle to the server uses a connection protected by mutual certificates.
  3. Reading from the server requires an app-specific authentication key.

10. Children

  1. The app is intended for drivers, is not directed at children under 14, and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Data protection officer

  1. Data protection officer: Junghoon Lee / Contact: contact@tecluster.org
  2. In Korea, complaints may also be filed with the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118).

12. Ad measurement

  1. We added the Meta SDK to the app to see whether our Instagram and Facebook ads actually lead to installs and subscriptions. The app itself shows no ads.
  2. Sent to Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA): app launch, free-trial start, subscription (product, price, currency), device model, OS version and language, the IP address inherent to the connection, and the app identifier. Location, vehicle data, destinations, names and email addresses are never sent.
  3. On first launch iOS asks whether to allow tracking. Only if you allow it is the advertising identifier (IDFA) included; otherwise only Apple’s SKAdNetwork aggregate values are used. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  4. Meta’s processing and retention follow the Meta Privacy Policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). We receive no information from Meta that identifies you.

Supplementary

  1. This policy takes effect on the app's first release date.
  2. Changes will be announced in the app and on this page at least seven days before they take effect.
  3. This policy was last revised on 22 September 2026.
